- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 soft pita breads
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Coat chicken breasts in the marinade and cover tightly. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- Warm pita bread briefly on the grill. Fill with sliced chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce.
