- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup plain or Italian breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup bell peppers, diced (any color)
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onions and bell peppers until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, sautéed veggies, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Spread half of the meat mixture in a greased baking dish; top with half of the shredded cheese. Add remaining meat mixture on top.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top and sprinkle remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let cool slightly before serving.
