- 8 oz deli-style cooked ham, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- Fresh herbs (optional): rosemary or thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares approximately 4 inches wide.
- Layer one square with slices of ham and shredded cheese, then top with another pastry square and gently press to seal.
- Whisk together the egg and water; brush this mixture over the top of each stack.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
