Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until just combined; do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Stir in flour, then gradually add milk while stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Season with black pepper to taste.
