- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs until glossy.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder; stir until just combined.
- Fold in half of the chocolate chips.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with sugars until fluffy; add vanilla and egg.
- Incorporate flour and remaining chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
- Layer brownie batter in the prepared pan; dollop cookie dough on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
