- 1 cup yellow cornmeal

- 1 cup whole milk (or buttermilk)
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving warm with butter or chili.
